I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
