Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial important achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
